Recently I was looking to buy a Linksys router (WRT54G). As probably most of you know, there's an open-source Linux firmware for this router (OpenWRT) which makes it very powerful as it contains features that are normally only found in much more expensive devices, such as QoS.. Anyway, I hearwd this advert on the radio promting Cisco and Linksys, and saying that these productss can be found at Computer Solutions. So, I phoned CS to ask whether the model I wanted was in stock, and the answer was yes. However, when I asked where I should go to buy one, they told me to go to their office in Valletta to pay and get a receipt, and then go to their store in B'Kara with the receipt to collect the router!!!!! As you can imagine, I refused to buy anything from such a company which doesn't even stop to think how much its service ****s and ended up buying it off ebay. Does anyone know someone else who sells Linksys? And why don't the big names such as Scan don't sell this brand? |
