If you were thinking of getting a new PC, now it's time, as the
government is subsidising the purchase of new PC's for home users by
16%, up to a maximum of €186.40.
Furthermore, the local banks have also modified their computer loan
offerings to go with this offer, whereby the customer doesn't have to
pay more than €0.99 a day. These schemes are available until 30th May. According to Minister Austin Gatt, this is
being done as part of the effort to ensure that everyone is included in
"The Smart Island", and it goes along with other initiatives such as BlueSkies, and StartSmart, where families and persons with special needs can buy refurbished computers for €130.
