Written by HiVoltage
Saturday, 08 May 2010

Melita this week announced the details about the new HDTV service. At the moment, the information is a bit sparse and has to be collected from different locations, but here is the summary. There are 9 HD channels at the moment, and in order to watch them, one needs to rent the set top box for €10 per month. The HD channels are available only on the XL package, which goes for €29.99 per month. So, that will be €39.99 monthly for just one TV set with 9 HDTV channels. To make your life a bit easier, however, Melita is offering free installation, and the receiver also allows you to pause, rewind, and record live TV.

Exagerated price .Only few will enjoy this service. At least it could have been free of charge on the Xl and you pay only time fee for the decoder.
